They also save money on the software deploy by putting 3rd party bloat on images (mcafee, norton etc) to recoup some costs and I suspect they also use a very small # of deployment images over all. They cheap out on ram and SSDs resulting in more issues than if they used a quality part, but over thousands of devices that saves big $$$. I always remind people that OEMs save money in 2 places: removable parts and the software deploy. It was a bad RAM stick, so I swapped to a better set I had in another Laptop and RMA'd the bad pair through Newegg. I had a similar issue when I initially got my 3070 GS66.
